Trent Franks is a committed “Reagan Conservative” who has spent his three decades in public service working to ensure that future American generations, including his four-year-old twins, Joshi and Gracie, continue to walk in the sunlight of freedom. Whether serving four years as Executive Director of the Arizona Family Research Institute, serving in the Arizona State Legislature where he was awarded the “Conservative Leadership Award,” serving as the Director of the Arizona Governor’s Office for Children, or serving in Congress, Trent has spent most of his life fighting for the conservative principles of stronger families, free enterprise, smaller government, and a robust national defense.
Trent believes it was our Creator, not the hand of man or government, that gave all mankind the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and that government has a God-given responsibility to protect these rights for all members of the human family, regardless of their color, creed, religion, or station in life.
Trent is currently serving his sixth term representing Arizona’s 8th Congressional District. He is a Member of both the House Judiciary Committee — where he Chairs the Subcommittee on the Constitution and fights to protect America’s Constitutional foundations – and the House Armed Services Committee, where he serves on the Subcommittees on both Strategic (Nuclear) Forces and Intelligence and Emerging Threats and Capabilities. A deeply committed friend of our most precious ally, Israel, Trent Co-Chairs the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus, and also serves as Co-Chairman of the Congressional Missile Defense Caucus the International Religious Freedom Caucus, and the Orphans and Vulnerable Children Caucus.
